located in the Triangle region of NC. Surfaces vary from
paved to gravel. Hiking, Biking, and Horseback riding are
allowed. Nearest access point is the New Hill Road entrance

miles) - Relax, unwind and have fun at Bass
Lake park where you'll find many opportunities to connect with nature.
Fish, rent canoes, jonboats, and Gheenoe boats (Memorial Day
through Labor Day) or hike/bike the trails.

- 143 acres with five miles of paved trails of varying elevation, open
green space, multiple ponds, and a wide variety of wildlife including
turtles, fish, deer, and herons. Hiking, biking, and skating
allowed (no motorized vehicles, no fishing)
- Jordan Lake State Recreation Area (23
miles) - Includes seven access areas that
provide plenty of camping, boating, and swimming opportunities.
One of the largest summertime homes of the bald eagle, and an
observation platform makes for easy spotting of our national bird.

surface trails, fishing, public programs, seasonal boat rentals, indoor
& outdoor facility rentals, and a swimming pool.

winding boardwalk areas through wetlands, historical sights,
