We liked the calmness of being in what felt like the middle of nowhere.  The beds were comfortable.  The fireplace was a big hit.  The showers were lovely!  We went there planning to just get away from the hustle and it was perfect for that!

The winter was crazy.  We tried to go in our minivan and made it all the way to the very last quarter of a mile and got stuck on the steep drive.  The 4x4 and tire chains aren't just good ideas, or something they say to cover themselves, if there is going to be snow make sure you have a good way to get there.  Even 3 days after it snowed we had a hard time with the final driveway, so please be aware.

The hot tub is pretty great! I really liked being away from it all.  We really loved your place--including the driveway! I will certainly tell everyone I know about a quiet hamlet in the mountains that I found.

1) The cabin was very clean
 2) Loved the personal touches including the Christmas decorations.  The beds were comfortable!
 3) Had a great time in the jacuzzi. Unfortunately, we did not get to use the fire pit/game area because of the snow.

We had a great time!  We may try staying next fall when the leaves are changing color.

We had a wonderful family winter vacation. Your cabin is so warm & cozy, its like being at home. I loved the fact you had Christmas decorations everywhere. The location is great because we got to cut our own Christmas tree, go to Foggy Mountain Gem Mine, shop at the local farmers market and visit the Ashe County Cheese store. Our 9 year old daughter was so excited about the surprise 4 to 6 inches of snow we had. We even got to make a snowman and enjoy the hot tub in the snow. Thank you for everything.

Our little dog Angel had a a great time too :-)

My husband and I were looking for a weekend getaway for just the two of us and we found it! It was very relaxing. The cabin was clean and had all the conveniences. We slept in, ate good food, sat in the hot tub, sat by the fire pit and watched movies.

Your cabin is lovely.  I hope if I am ever lucky enough to own a cabin that I can manage the details as well as you have.  We had a great time.  Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

We loved our vacation!  It was close to town, yet secluded and very private!  We hiked in the woods, used the firepit to keep warm, roast marshmallows and hotdogs, and we loved it that all the roasting utensils were provided.  The picnic table was great, even though we got rained on.  We used the grill to cook out and the wrap-around porch was cozy and fun.  We loved the hot tub with all it's bells and whistles and played checkers, Jenga, and Scrabble.  The kitchen utensils were great (Pampered Chef and Farberware)!  The beds slept awesome and the showerheads in the bathrooms were wonderful.  The decor was beautiful and made us feel cozy and comfortable.  Lots of DVD choices were provided and the stereo with the inside/outside speakers was cool.  The fireplace was nice and the comfort zone heater kept us comfortable our entire stay!  It was nice that the linens were provided and the washer/dryer came in handy as well.  Lots of games were provided and we used the picnic basket to picnic at Mt. Jefferson State Park.  We alos liked the hammock and the hammock trail.  That was neat.  We visited the Ashe County Park (which is close by) and had a picnic there as well.  Our little girl loved the playgrounds.  We had a blast and we WILL be back!  I've already told our friends/family about this cabin!

Just a quick note to let you know that you have a beautiful cabin. My husband, myself and our canine baby "Meggie" loved it. Thanks so much for a beautiful cabin to visit and we look forward to our next visit.

The cabin was awesome. We are already planning on returning for another stay next Oct. The deer were very curious and walked within 20 yards of the cabin each day we were there. Thanks for the great experience.

We loved the location.  It was very quiet and peaceful with the ability to relax and not worry about anything.  If you're looking for a peaceful get-a-way,  this is the right place to go.  Can't wait for our next visit

One of my favorite parts was the hot tub, it was great after a long day of hiking at the Blue Ridge Parkway.  Everything was great, I would not change a thing.  No detail was left out.  The horseshoe pit was great while enjoying a nice fire in the fire pit.  Beds also slept great.

We had an awesome time at the cabin this weekend!

Checking In: Wonderful experience. You made it very easy and convenient to sign up through the online process. It was great to receive updates as the weekend check in date approached. It was a special bonus that you were available by phone when we called at our arrival!

Amenities: Loved horseshoes, the firepit, jacuzzi, checkers on the patio, board games and cards and even watched some movies in the living room and 1st floor bedroom.  We even found time to climb into the hammock for a brief moment.

Cooking experience: We used everything in the kitchen except the stovetop. Everything worked perfectly.  The grill was nice and the utensils for the grill were awesome. We didn't have any difficulty finding any items to cook with or clean up behind ourselves.

Sleeping Accommodations:  THE BEDS ARE AWESOME!

You did a wonderful job putting the special touches throughout the cabin and landscape (bears in trees, coat/towel hangers inside and out, roasting utensils on the tree, boat on the main beam, squirrel in the flower pot, rocks at each of the beams on the porch, the deer theme from the time we pulled up, layed down and used the bathroom and the throws on the couches and banisters). No detail was missed and as my daughter stated, "I like that it has nature and a little bit of home."

My family and I loved our vacation at Wildeerness Cabin!  The accomodations were very family friendly providing everything from a fully equipped kitchen to onsite recreational activities for the entire family.  My children, ages 7 and 10 loved playing horseshoes and cornhole by day and then settling in for a fun board game in evening, after making smores at the fire pit.  The kids absolutely loved it and are already wanting to return.  In fact, we were teasing them about going on a trip without them and when asked if they'd rather go back to Wildeerness cabin or Cancun, they opted for your cabin!  My husband and I enjoyed the beautiful and peaceful setting.  Needless to say, we can't wait to return to the "Wildeerness!"
