We had a wonderful time. We started planning this on Christmas Day 2016. We really enjoyed our first stay with our grown son in the cabin. The last day, my son was with me and we took one last walk together & he talked about how a plan that began one year ago came together so well in such a wonderful place. He said he would like to go back, I pray we are all able to do that. We were so glad to bring our little girl, Teke (cattle dog - very small). Our whole family was so surprised at all the little details in the cabin decor, the comfort, and especially all the Chrismtas decorations. That was a wonderful touch at Christmas. The river trail was fun & highly recommend walking the road until it ends & looking down through the trees at the creek - fantastic. Bobby D's Pizza (on Main St) was really good and fast on our first night in to town. Mostly we cooked & grilled here so we could relax. The hot tub was such a pleasure. Loved soaking in the hot tub late in the day after hiking. We spent Christmas 2017...to walk in the spotless cabin & see all the Christmas decorations just blew us away. We have stayed at several cabins over our five years together. This was the favorite for both of us. The loft with separate bathroom was perfect for my adult son who joined us for 3 nights. We would definitely like to return one day and will recommend others to stay here as well. Thank you! |

This is our 2nd stay here and once again, it could not have been better. Please make sure you take the time to enjoy all the property has to offer. Beautiful walk to the river, front porch, rocking chair afternoons, and the hot tub is so relaxing anytime of the day! Deer family of 5 will visit you. They cross the hill behind the cabin every day or two. Restaurants we enjoyed, Rosebud Cafe, Winner's Circle, Bohiemian Coffee Shop, Smokey Mtn BBQ, Dairy House for ice cream! Rose Mtn Butcher shop for fresh everything! Eggs, Meats, Jams, Produce! Day Trips! Mtn City, TN - Mike's BBQ; Abingdon, VA to the famous Barter Theature; Valle Crucis - over yonder restaurant and original mast general store & annex; Sparta. All nice 1 hr or so trips. Enjoy the peace and quiet! |

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your cabin. This is the third year that we've come to celebrate our anniversary. We have had a wonderful experience all three years. The snow this year made it especially wonderful for us as we enjoy the cold weathre. We noticed that another couple had written they were celebrating their 48th wedding anniversary and we were celebrating our 17th. Congratulations for such a beautiful property & great experience!! We live in upstate NY at the foothills of the Adirondacks, still we found this to be a great & very enjoyable experience. We had a wonderful time with our daughters and our friends we met here for the holiday. Very pleasantly surprised with all the amenities and comfort, we loved every minute here. The cabin was very well equipped, had all and anything you need and more. All you need is your personal effects, food, charcoal for the grill & drinks. If you want to disconnect and get off the grid, the environment and surroundings genuinely encourage and allow it yet if needed you have WI-Fi and TV if you chose to use. I just spent Thanksgiving there, we are a family of 4 adults and a small dog, it was perfect, comfortable and pleasant experience. Thank you & we wish you all the best. |

Loved the cabin. You have it decorated so nice and beds are very comfortable. We stayed nice and cozy with the extra heat. We had a couple of nice days of weather. Very windy most of the time. Cabin is nice, clean and cozy. Had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. West Jefferson is a nice town with plenty of shops and nice restaurants. Cabin is well stocked with all you need in the kitchen. Thanks, your cabin is special! |

The cabin was quiet, relaxing and convenitent to amenities. Enjoyed spending our 48th anniversary at the cabin (with the availability of the romantic package) even though it rained a lot. Looking forward to returning another time. Thanks for such a quiet, relaxing and beautiful place. |

We adored the location and the private river access. We looked at many different cabins and were very happy to find a cabin that allowed us to bring our fur baby. This cabin had exactly everything we were looking for. The fire pit was amazing, the bed was super comfortable, and we were thankful for the dog treats left for us. We also LOVED all of the informative signs and directions. We never had any questions about how to operate or navigate anything during our stay. We've stayed in many cabins in western North Carolina over the past 7 years and this one is by far our favorite. We can't think of any improvements at all. This cabin was pefect and had absolutely everything we were looking for. Thank you for such an amazing vacation! We were really sad to leave. This was our dog's first North Carolina vacation with us and he was in heaven. We loved and adored every aspect of your property and can't wait to come back!! We are in love with this place and our dog approves! |

Thank you for another wonderful stay at your beautiful cabin. We have been coming here every year for our anniversary since spending our honeymoon here three years ago and it's always a delight. We enjoy walking down to the river, soaking in the hot tub, and attempting the hammock (one of these days we'll get the hang of it without it cumping us out!! :-) Already looking forward to our next visit. We had a great time at this cabin. The owners have really gone out of their way to make sure this cabin has all the essentials for the perfect getaway. The cabin is very clean and well kept. We really enjoyed the fire pit area. It is the perfect setup complete with plenty of seating, a horseshoe pit and outdoor speakers. We had so much fun roasting marshmallows and playing horseshoes. And gazing up at all the stars at night. The cabin is well stocked with DVD's, games, corn hole, and even chairs and a picnic basket to bring down to the river which is just a short walk from the cabin. The hot tub actually gets hot and is very relaxing to sit in. The owners are very easy to work with and are quick to respond. In all honesty, this is the first place we have stayed where everyone wished we had booked a longer stay. There was so much to do and enjoy. We are looking forward to our next stay at the Wil-deer-ness Cabin. |

We had an excellent time at your cabin. It's like going to our second home, every little thing is provided to make our stay and easy and enjoyable one. Me and my two boys took a kayak trip down the river from your location to the old route 16 bridge (I think). Took about 4 hours. An excellent way to spend my 48th birthday :-) |

Had another wonderful stay here at the Wildeerness Cabin "Our happy place". Norm enjoyed his birthday weekend, with golfing, tubing and we tried some new restaurants. Winners Circle, The Log House both were very good. We took a ride to Sparta Saturday night and went to the Alleghany Jubilee for some old time music and dancing. It was really fun! Also went to Molley Chompers Cider Brewery in Lansing, a nice laid back place. Thanks again for everything. We love it here and can't wait to come back! |

We really enjoyed our time at your wonderful cabin. Just the beautiful setting and the way the cabin was equipped. It was so relaxing. We didn't need a thing that wasn't available. It was decorated so nice and was so clean. There was a deer looking in the kitchen window while I was doing dishes. We really enjoyed ourselves. We were not ready to leave when our time was up. It was neat that our dog could be included in our vacation. I really cannot think of anything that could make it more perfect. Thank you for letting us enjoy your little place in paradise. We really enjoyed coming back. The river path is new since our last visit and we really enjoyed it. My dogs are usually scared of water, but my husband got them to dive right in! They splashed and played and had a great time. The doggies loved their biscuits and we all had a very relaxing time. We enjoyed driving through the country, and hiking to see waterfalls. Everything was wonderful. We can't wait to come back! |

Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay! Y'all have thought of everything! My husband returned from a 7 month deployment in April, and this vacation provided us both with much needed rest & refreshment. We absolutely loved the cabin/area! The cabin is so clean, well-stocked and well-kept. My husband and I enjoyed the cabin amenities along with being surrounded by gorgeous nature and seclusion. We also loved being just a short drive from Grayson Highlands State Park and exploring the quaint little town of West Jefferson. We really appreciated all of your attention to detail and hospitality. We also enjoyed all the extra things to do like the fire pit and horse shoes and movies and cable and wi-fi -- felt spoiled :-) We loved our stay! We will definitley be booking again! |

What a place! We loved it and will definitely stay again. And tell our friends and families. Everything was perfect. You guys really do a great job. We had an awesome time. This cabin is heaven in the woods. We loved rocking in the rocking chairs, hanging in the jacuzzi, and grilling out. Our ten year old daughter loved her stay also. This place offered many amenities. My husband and I rented this cabin for a quick getaway from our busy world, and to check out the area to see if it is where we want to buy our mountain house/retirement home. It is!!! We loved the area and would buy this cabin in a heartbeat if the owners would sell, (hint, hint). Are you willing to sell? Just as it is - completely furnished. Send us your price! Our favorite thing about this cabin was the outdoor speakers. We loved sitting in the hot tub and being able to listen to the radio (very nice touch). The owners have thought about everything and have put a lot of effort and time into making sure you are comfortable and well taken care of. Hopefully we will own our own mountain house soon but if we don't, we will definitely be back. |

A very relaxing get away. Felt like you were away from everything yet close to town. Enjoyed the decor and attention to the cabin theme. A lot has been put into it. Love the privacy and seclusion while still a short drive to attractions. Loved the hot tub and the walking around. Did a little hiking and playing. This was our second trip to Wil-deer-ness Cabin and I can't imagine this being our last. We came to shed our stressful days and were able to do that very nicely - we love the cabin and we love the area - we feel like we are coming home when we pull up the drive and we leave all stressful days behind. |

We had the best time of relaxing and enjoying all of the amenities here at the cabin. The cabin is more of a home than we imagined. It is our 35th wedding anniversary and didn't want to leave. What a beautiful, peaceful cabin in the woods! Your cabin is as close to heaven on earth as it gets. Loved the hot tub on cold nights and watching the deer come down the hill. All the homey touches show how much this cabin is loved. The relaxation and the views we enjoyed the most. From relaxing in the living room watching movies to relaxing in the hot tub or in the rocking chairs on the porch enjoying the birds and deer. To leisurely walks around the property and down to the river. Make sure you check out Rose Mountain Butcher Shoppe! Such a beautiful property and well maintained cabin. Extremely clean and so many personal touches that make you feel like you're staying at a friend's house. Hot tub very clean. But the best of all was the personal care and prompt service from the owners. Any questions were answered immediately and efficiently. We hope to return in July. Thank you for your kindness and professionalism. I would not hesitate to return or refer anyone looking for a picturesque, care-free, mountain get-away. PS. The 8" of snow was such a gift we will never forget. |
